As Spiritual as Possible and SUPA Spiritual

HEYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I'm going to start with the "As Spiritual as Possible". After Christina about broke our hanging light with her big head, we left the roach motel hotel around 8:15 this morning and began our very intresting trip. Our pastor thought it was good idea (for sum reason) to take directions from the only two who had been to Wal-Mart in Kentucky.... didn't we mention we were the ones who got us lost??? Anyway, we only had to turn around once and got there remotely safe. Our lovely pastor wanted to make sure this was a highly educational trip and decided to take us to drive through a tobacco farm... for the record, my pastor, DOES NOT NOW, HAS HE EVER, NOR WILL HE EVER SUPPORT THE USE OF TOBACCO!!! (you know i have to put that in there or big mouths will talk). Anyways, our youth group as nice, sweet, and innocent as they are continued our "bonding" time (sum ppl would call it "torture", but that's wut brings us together). We continued to play Copy-Paste-Delete and taking pictures of the little sleeping angels in the van! =)

When we finally reached the hotel (which is much nicer than the other hotel), we unloaded and I end up almost flippin the luggage cart over. After the AMAZING night service, we came back and ordered some rather intresting looking pizza, got in trouble with security guards (not me cause I was blogging), pillow case raced down the hall way, and had several pillow fights while I was attempting to skype with the besties back home (Myra and Devon).

Now onto the Spiritual:)

Tonight was AMAZING from start to finish!!! The music was awesome and the preaching was FANTASTICAL!!!!!!

Bro Shay Mann preached on "Apostolic Apps"
II Corinthians 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
  • There are things that we use in our everyday lives that we believe we can not live without, but there are things in out everday spiritual life that we ABSOLUTLEY can not live without
  • Just because we call something Apostolic or Christian doesn't make it Apostolic or Christian..... we need to ask ourselves, what did the early church do? If they didn't do it, we shouldn't be doing it, and if they did, why do forsake to do it??
There are 3 main things the early church did:
  • The early church new how to PRAY!! (number 1 Apostolic App). 1 Timothy 2:1 says "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;" Prayer needs to come 1st in our everyday lives, before facebook, XBOX, hangin out with friends, etc. Prayer has to be a priority, not just a backseat thing where you get to it when you get to it if God is going to use us and help us grow.
II Chronicles 7:14 says "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray , and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." We have to pray if we are going to hear from God.
Acts 4:31 says " And when they had prayed , the place was shaken where they were assembled together ; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness." (Prayer changes things).
James 5:15 says "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed . The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." This is an example of intercession. This should not be a foreign concept to us.
WE NEED A "REBIRTHING" OF PRAYER IN THIS GENERATION
  • Acts 2:42 says "And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers." This is considered PRAISE.
Acts 2: 46-47 "And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved."
Romans 15:10-11 "And again he saith , Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people. "
Hebrews 2:12 "Saying , I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee"
Ephesians 5:19-20 "  Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;"
Noise, emotions, and/or energy does not equal praise. Praise is when all of our undivided attention is on magnifying God! Worship and praise should begin/end with God. We can not slack off in our worship!!!!
Our praise will cost us something (sacrifice) " By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is , the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name." (Hebrews13:15)
  • Last, but  certainly not least PROCLAIM the message of God. (There are so many verse refrences, I'm just gonna give them to you and you can read them)
Acts 2:42; 5:28; 6:7; 8:4;12:24; 19:20; Romans 1:16; Acts 4:12-> This is what will move mountains and cause miracles to happen. The ppower won't stay if I won't proclaim Jesus, and I can't proclaim Jesus without the power.
The power of the Holy Ghost is still alive and real!!!! We can't minimize out witness. Jesus is the answer to every situation!!!! To the sick-> He's the Great Physician, sinner-> Salvation, hopeless-> Hope, restless-> Peace
        Acts 17:6

This was a fantastic message!!!!
